I don't get this baby. He wakes and sleeps all day just fine. In fact, little SiSi takes a long nap in his swing from 10-2 every day. He's happy and content when he's awake, and when he gets sleepy, he just falls right to sleep. Then five o'clock rolls around. He usually wakes up from a nap between four and five, and then gets so fussy. He requires non-stop back patting, rocking, bouncing, jiggling, shh-ing, swaying and swaddling.... until about seven or sometimes eight o'clock! Then he's an absolute angel all night- still waking every couple hours of course- but an angel. Why is he so angry in the evenings? This happens just about every night, and makes it nearly impossible to go anywhere or do anything.
Today I'm feeling very irritated... and sleepy. Last night I was not only up for baby feedings, but Eli also wet the bed and Noah has learned how to climb out of his crib. Around 1:30am I heard him creeping around the house. Good grief! I absolutely love these kiddos, and I want more, but goodness!!! I need sleep! I tried to bring Noah into bed with us, but he just lays there for 40 minutes and then asks to go back to his bed. He keeps me awake and I get so frustrated because I am just counting down the very few minutes of sleep I could be getting until Josiah wakes again.
Naps were... well, to avoid more complaining, naptime was very stressful today. Ugh! We were wanting to visit friends in Prineville and family in Klamath this summer, but I just don't see how that is possible. I think, for my sanity, it would be wise to stay home. :(

Milestones
SiSi started smiling a couple weeks ago, but it has been so hard to get it on camera! Here's the best I've got so far. He's growing like a weed and getting cuter by the day!
In the last week Noah figured out how to pedal his trike!
And in the last few weeks Eli has been learning how to read!!!
I think if I had started working with Eli earlier, he could have learned this sooner. I'm still trying to figure out how to make time for each boy to teach and practice with them what they should be learning.... it might mean not having a clean house... I'm learning that that is okay. :)

Happy Anniversary to us!
I wish I had a picture of our wedding day to put up here, but we don't have a scanner. Just use your imaginations... we looked pretty. :)
Well, nothing out of the ordinary for us today. The life of having kids... plus we're all sick. Josiah woke up every 90 minutes last night, until I was smart enough to figure out he'd breathe better sitting upright in the swing- then he woke every two hours.
Today we're skipping church and hanging out at home.... maybe, just maybe, we'll go out to eat. But the thought of that makes me exhausted. I'm thankful for my husband and the boys we're raising together. I'm thankful when he lets me take naps. (wink, wink, Jonny!)

Exhausted
Oh, boy. Oh, boy x3!! I got eight hours of sleep last night, but I still feel so tired! Maybe it has something to do with the four hours- wake up- two hours- wake up- two hours- wake up. And last night was a good night. Until a few days ago, Josiah hasn't been sleeping longer than three hours at a time. He wakes up every three, two and one hour at night. He nurses and goes right back to sleep, but it still makes me so tired. All week last week SiSi wasn't sleeping longer than two hours at a time at night. He's been a real easy baby so far- sleeping lots and lots, but last week he had a few fussy afternoons that had me going bonkers. We also dropped Eli's nap, because he was staying up way too late, so he's been a little crabby in the afternoons as well.
I had my six week postpartum appointment with the midwife on Monday. They are always concerned about mommy's having the baby blues, so they take some time to talk with you about your feelings and how everything is going. Well, that poor midwife! I just let it all out. I told her how I've been a lot more weepy and emotional, I told her how I feel guilty for not playing with Eli and Noah as much, I told her how I don't have enough time for everything, I told her how exhausted I am... I just went on and on. (I won't do that here. :) ) She told me she thinks its mostly fatigue and that I need to take more vitamin B to help with my emotions.
Life is good. I am so blessed. I love my boys.
I am just so tired. I don't want to do anything but stay home.

Happy Father's Day!
We've been having a pleasant Father's Day. Church was excellent! I loved, loved, loved the message. When its put up online I'll post it. The boys have been having lots of fun with their silly dad lately. This last week Eli and Noah each got to ride in the Honda (which for some reason they think is a REALLY special treat) with Jonny to do some work stuff at his school. Then on Friday Eli went to his first movie, Toy Story 3, with Jonny. It was so cute- you betcha I'm going to save the movie ticket to put in his scrap book.
This is Jonny's Father's Day gift. The picture frame is for his classroom and the tiles will be glued and caulked into a frame for our bedroom.
Oh, and as you can see, Jonny shaved his head completely bald. He says he's embracing the future! And we buzzed the boys hair super short for the summer. :(
