First Dr. Visit

I'm 9 weeks prego & I had my first Dr. appointment today. It was w/ the midwife who delivered Eli, so it was fun to see her again. She marveled at Eli. Katie (the midwife) couldn't find the baby's heart beat, so she decided to do an ultrasound. The same thing happened w/ Eli when I went in at 9 weeks. Apparently I have a tipped back uterus, so along w/ it being so early in the pregnancy, it can be difficult to find the heart beat. Katie got the Doppler & she found the baby & showed me on the screen, then she said, "Wait, what's that? There is a second sac. Didn't you say your sister had twins?" What!?!? I told her yes, gritting my teeth in fear. She left to go get another provider for another opinion. I looked over at Eli sitting quietly in his stroller, munching on his gold fish........ uh oh. When they came back in & looked more closely at the screen, we saw a second sac w/ no baby inside. It turned out to be nothing. There never was a second baby. It was just a sac of blood that is somewhat common in early pregnancy & should go away. Anyway, what a scare! Baby's heart beat was 158 & looking healthy. Katie measured two different due dates, & finally decided on one after a third measurement. We should expect our baby the first or second week in June! I decided not to post the ultrasound picture b/c it's not very good... just a white blob- that's our baby. :)

We're Expecting!

Our first post & yes that is a pregnancy test! And that faint second purple line means we're expecting!!! According to BabyCenter.com we're due in early June. Jonny's last day before summer break is June 13th, so we planned well. Jonny will be home w/ me all summer while I get used to TWO babies!!
